Judging and Awards

Festival entries will be reviewed by a panel of professionals selected from the animation industry. Animations will be scored based on criteria such as artistic merit, story, and technical proficiency. The submissions will be ranked based on these scores, and a $100 cash prize will be awarded for the animation that scores the highest in each of the following categories:

• Animations by Student Animators
• Animations by Independent Animators
• Animations by Professional Animators

In addition to the awards above, a $200 Critic's Choice Award will be given to the animation that scores the highest overall.

If your animation is made for children and you choose to enter it in the Children's Choice competition, it will be shown in the Hands-On! Regional Museum throughout the weekend, and visiting children will be given the opportunity to choose their favorite entry. A $100 Children's Choice Award will be given to the animation that receives the most votes from the children.
