Tim Matney Tim Matney is a Visual Effects Artist for R!OT Digital Pictures in Santa Monica, CA, and worked previously with Rythm and Hues. Matney, who has worked in 2D and 3D computer graphics within gaming, commercials, and other various media. Matney has worked on several feature films including Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, The Cave, and Underworld: Evolution, and worked for several national clients such as Kawasaki and Michelin. "My strange journey towards a career in visual effects began like most in my generation, on a warm summer evening back in 1977 when I first saw a little film called Star Wars" Matney reflects. |

Jeff Bernstein Jeff Bernstein recently completed work on Disney's animated feature, "Meet the Robinson's". In the past, he's worked at ILM and the Orphanage on films such as 'Van Helsing', 'Day After Tomorrow', and 'Hellboy', focusing on Character Setup. In addition to production work, Jeff has taught classes in Character Setup at the Art Institute of San Francisco, the Academy of Art, CCA, and Expressions Center for New Media, as well as Maya Master Classes at Siggraph and classes in Advanced Setup for Disney Feature Animation. Jeff holds B.A in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.F.A in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, and has studied 3d animation at the Academy of Art College. |

Jance Rubinchik Jance Rubinchik was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Growing up with movies like Star Wars, Alien, Terminator, Jurassic Park, and animation great Ray Harryhausen's work, Jance always knew he wanted to work in the film industry.

John Vegher John Vegher serves GKR as visual effects supervisor and an integral part of GKR’s staffing and recruiting. His understanding of the careful balance between technical skill, creative ability, and professionalism ensures GKR’s staff is among the best in the industry. John also acts as a project manager for all of GKR’s internal projects. He is also very involved in GKR’s community outreach. He has sat on many boards and panels for the City of San Francisco as well as local university programs. Recently, John was the CG Supervisor for Spiderman 3 (Sony Pictures). His awards and past credits include a 2004 Prime Time Emmy Award for Visual Effects for a Miniseries, Movie or Special for Dreamkeeper (Hallmark Productions), and a 2001 Videographer Award in Creativity/Special Effects/Animation for Lucent: Genome (Monolith Media). His creative work is grounded in his architecture degrees from UC Berkeley and Columbia University. |
